Panjab FA have qualified for the CONIFA World Cup 2024! We are also holding community events across the UK to inspire future generations!

Who are we?

We are a national team, a platform for Panjabi players and a beacon for South Asian Players. https://www.instagram.com/panjabfa/

The organisation began in 2014. In 2016 we reached the final of the CONIFA World Cup. Recently we have been set up as a CIC and we want to engage even more with the community and inspire future generations.

We give players a platform, an elite and professional experience and the opportunity to play in International competitions. www.panjabfa.com

We want to win the biggest competition outside of FIFA/UEFA (See www.conifa.com)

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are planning some amazing community events with professional clubs across the English game where we will engage with new participants.

Initially we hope to hold 6 events this year and have 50 participants attend each event.

Some of these events will occur in the build up to the CONIFA World Cup 2024.

The funding will also be used to support players from Panjabi backgrounds to play against elite level teams and in the CONIFA World Football Cup 2024 (www.conifa.org).

We also have staff who come from very diverse backgrounds, across many ethnicities and we are giving them the opportunity to be involved in elite level football.

We are organising games against Premier League and Championship level reserve teams, as well as training at those facilities.

This year we will have a number of new players joining and we also have new staff on board across the organisation.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We are looking to raise the total of £10,000 with matched funding from Sport England (with £20,000 being a stretch target).

How we aim to use the funds:

[*We won’t take any money for our time, so we will cover (Admin costs / coaching, analysis and physiotherapy costs / marketing and social media service costs, including website development / professional photography and videography)]

Replenish kit and equipment – £2000

Venue hire – £300

Medical equipment – £200

Insurance – £500

Travel costs – £7000

Stretch target:

Medical equipment – £1000

Match footballs – £200

Referee costs – £300

Venue hire – £500

Travel costs – £7000

This will all help with travel costs to and from matches, being able to train at the best possible facilities and replenish our kit/equipment/medical supplies which are essential.

It will also allow us to be able to feature on main-stream media channels which will mean being able to represent South Asian players in a positive light and inspire future generations.

The funding will support new players and staff who are coming on board.

We will also be able to open up more opportunities across the organisation for new staff and interns. This can be in coaching, analysis, admin support, media/content, commercial, recruitment, psychology, sports science and nutrition.

Community impact

Panjab FA recognise the importance of community and the best way to connect with our community and give something back is by way of setting up a CIC. All donations are very much appreciated and you can be assured that everything will be put back into the community so that we can inspire future generations and support them on their journey.

We are planning some amazing community events with professional clubs across the English game where we will engage with new participants.

Initially we hope to hold 6 events this year and have 50 participants attend each event.

Players and staff have said “This is amazing to be part of Panjab FA, when we all come here to get together from our different clubs, it feels like a national team. There’s a brotherhood and a sense of community that we don’t get anywhere else”.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the ‘contact project’ button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
