Who is eligible to be considered for Panjab national team selection, can anyone play?
If either you, your parents or your grandparents were born in Panjab of India or Pakistan, then you are eligible to be considered.In addtion to this, you will qualify if your lineage is from the Panjab of the last King of Panjab, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. Please find a list of locations via this link. We reserve the right to request supporting evidence of this. It is at our discretion.
What will happen on trial day?
The itinerary of the trial day will be announced together with the date and venue of the event. In brief, we can tell you that you will be expected to take part in endurance sessions and small sided games.
Food and drink provisions?
In most cases, this is provided through light refreshments, we will always keep you informed in advance.
Will there be a cost for trials?
Yes, as we are a CIC (Community Interest Company, not for profit company) and setup for the benefit and welfare of the community, we hope the Panjab based community will share the vision we have going forward, so there is a £30 fee to be paid in advance for inbound trialists. For scouted, invited players, there is no fee.
Will there be a CRB checking process with the trials,if so, who will pay?
To be considered for trials there will not be a CRB check on trialists. We will ask for information disclosure of within the form regarding previous convictions. We request that all information is supplied with honesty. Those candidates who are selected for international duty, will be requested to do a CRB check. The cost of this will be met by the candidate. Panjab Football Association believes in giving opportunities to all. Any false information submitted within your application will result in an immediate expulsion from the trials.
